After intense deliberations, House President, Marios Garoyian submitted a proposal to the House of Representatives to discuss the bill on the multiple pensions that certain high ranking state officials receive in the afternoon.
During the session’s break in the noon, the MPs will have the opportunity to deliberate in order to decide whether the bill will be submitted for approval.
Meanwhile, DISY MP, Lefteris Christoforou requested the extension of the Parliament’s activities until April 22 – pursuant to article 67 of the Constitution – so as to approve the relevant bill.
According to the Constitution, the Parliament may be self-dissolved between 30 and 40 days.
The decision will be taken in the afternoon, when all groups meet, since certain MPs talk about a breach of the House regulations.
