Authorities announced one more coronavirus case on Monday

Cyprus authorities announced on Monday one more confirmed coronavirus case out of 1,191 tests completed, with the total number of cases reaching 1,005.

According to a press release issued here today by the Ministry of Health, a person was tested positive for COVID-19 out of 302 samples taken from private initiative. The person has a recent travel history.

In addition, a patient who was treated at the General Hospital of Famagusta was discharged. Therefore, there are currently no patients with COVID-19 in hospitals throughout Cyprus.

No individuals tested positive out of 124 tests on 10,000 employees who returned to work under phase two and three of the lifting of the restrictive measures, 20 tests completed as part of the process of tracing the contacts of already confirmed cases and 348 tests on samples taken from people who were repatriated or from passengers.

No one tested positive out 174 tests completed by the Microbiological Labs of the General Hospitals, 12 tests done in the context of testing immigrant structures residents and 211 samples tested after referrals from personal doctors and special groups screening through the public health centres.
