Cyprus and Lithuania signed MoU in the field of health

A Memorandum of Understanding in the field of health was signed on Wednesday by Minister of Health, Michalis Hadjipantela, and his Lithuanian counterpart Aruna Dulkys.

According to a press release by the Ministry of Health, the Memorandum was signed in the context of an official visit of the Cypriot Minister to Lithuania.

The Memorandum of Understanding confirms the close relations of the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of Lithuania, promoting mutual assistance to improve the quality of health care with particular emphasis on health system governance, digital health, primary health care, increasing qualifications of medical specialists and preparedness of the health system for emergency situations, the press release says.

It is added that in statements, Hadjipantela pointed out that the cooperation aims to improve our effectiveness and efficiency through the exchange of information, knowledge and expertise and also through communication between the respective experts from both countries.

Furthermore, it is noted that after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Minister visited the Public Ambulance Station of the city of Kaunas, followed by a visit to the Hospital of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Kauno Klinikos.
