Cyprus expected to receive 69,403 AstraZeneca vaccine doses in February

Cyprus will receive within February 69,403 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, according to the information provided by the manufacturer, the Ministry of Health has said.

In a press release on Friday evening and referring to the EMA`s recommendation for a conditional marketing authorisation for COVID-19 vaccine AstraZeneca to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in people from 18 years of age, the Ministry of Health says that "following this development and according to the information by the manufacturing company, Cyprus will receive within February a total of 69,403 doses of the vaccine."

It is added that indicatively the dates of delivery have been set for February 7 and February 17, while a third batch will be delivered at the end of February.

Further information will be issued once the manufacturing company finalises both the delivery dates and the quantities, the press release concludes.
