Authorities in Cyprus announced that the timeframe for people to be able to receive their booster shot against COVID-19 has been reduced from six months to five months and two weeks following the completion of their initial vaccination scheme.

In a press release, on Tuesday, the Ministry of Health said that it has decided, following the approval by the Cabinet on Monday to reduce "the period which needs to have elapsed following the initial vaccination completion for the administration of the booster / third dose of the vaccine for cases of two-dose vaccines and the second booster shot for one-shot vaccine cases, to five months and two weeks instead of six months."

Interested citizens will be able to arrange a vaccination appointment via the Vaccination Portal from Wednesday onwards or they may visit the free access vaccination centres, the press release adds.
