More than 70% of adult population in Cyprus fully vaccinated

More than 70% of the adult population in Cyprus is fully vaccinated against COVID19, the Ministry of Health said Monday.

Based on data until the 14th of August, 70.3% of Cyprus` adult population have completed their vaccination. The corresponding percentage in the EU is 62.4%.

The Ministry says that 76.6% of the adult population have received at least the first dose of a vaccine adding that the goal is for that percentage to reach 80% by the end of August. In the EU, the corresponding percentage stands at 73%.

Regarding the 16-17 age group, 32% have received the first dose while 22.3% are fully vaccinated. Inoculations for the 12-15 age group began on the 2nd of August. Until the 14th of August 8.6% of them received the first dose.
