Professor George Panos suggests that all the people of Cyprus are tested for COVID-19 within a period of seven days and that this is repeated once again, with the aim of preventing a total lockdown.
In statements to CNA, Panos, who is Professor of Pathology at the Medical School of the University of Cyprus and Associate Professor of Pathology and Infectious Diseases of the Medical School of the University of Patras, said that the tests should take place within a short period of time, up to 7 days, noting that after that those who are positive for the virus will be isolated.
In this way, he noted, a total lockdown will be prevented, as only those who will be positive will be isolated. Those who are negative will continue to work and therefore economic and professional activities will continue.
He also noted that in this way the society will function in a more convenient way, with no restrictions and strict measures.
