Six deaths and 1.281 new COVID cases March 10-16

Cyprus Health Ministry on Friday announced 6 deaths and 1,281 new COVID cases for the week 10-16 March.

The deceased are 2 males and 4 females aged between 60 and 97 years old. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Cyprus a total of 1.341 people lost their lives to the disease.

Ministry of Health said that 41 patients are receiving treatment in public hospitals and 10 are in serious condition (2 are intubated).

A total of 61.062 tests were carried out and the positivity rate now stands at 2,09%. Since the pandemic broke out on the island a total of 653.667 cases were reported.
