Η Elmec Sport ABETE και οι θυγατρικές της είναι ένας απο τους μεγαλύτερους ελληνικούς εμπορικούς ομίλους και δραστηριοποιείται στις χώρες της Νοτιοανατολικής Ευρώπης, και κυρίως στην Ελλάδα, τη Ρουμανία, τη Βουλγαρία, τη Μολδαβία και την Κύπρο. H Elmec Sport ανήκει με τη σειρά της στον όμιλο εταιρειών Folli-Follie.

Ο Όμιλος της Elmec Sport χωρίζεται σε πέντε μεγάλους κλάδους δραστηριότητας, καθένας από τους οποίους πραγματεύεται διαφορετικά προϊόντα ή/και κατηγορίες πελατών. Οι κλάδοι αυτοί είναι οι εξής:

Χονδρική διάθεση ενδυμάτων, υποδημάτων & αξεσουάρ

Ο κλάδος αυτός ασχολείται με τη χονδρική πώληση (διανομή) ενδυμάτων, υποδημάτων και αξεσουάρ. Με τον κλάδο αυτόν, και συγκεκριμένα με τη διανομή των προϊόντων του αθλητικού οίκου Nike στην ελληνική αγορά, ξεκίνησε η δραστηριότητα της Εταιρείας μας το 1981.
Σήμερα, η Elmec Sport διανέμει κατ' αποκλειστικότητα τα είδη της Nike στη Ρουμανία και τη Βουλγαρία, ενώ μέχρι το 2006 διέθετε χονδρικώς τα είδη αυτά επιπλέον στην Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο. Η εταιρεία μας κατέχει επιπλέον τα δικαιώματα παραγωγής αθλητικών ενδυμάτων με τα σήματα της Converse, καθώς και το δικαίωμα να διαθέτει κατ' αποκλειστικότητα τα ενδύματα και υποδήματα της Converse στις αγορές της Ελλάδας, της Κύπρου, της Ρουμανίας και της Βουλγαρίας.

Όσον αφορά στα ενδύματα μόδας (fashion), η Elmec Sport σχεδιάζει και παράγει συλλογή ενδυμάτων που φέρουν τα λογότυπα της Harley-Davidson, την οποία διαθέτει κυρίως στην Ελλάδα και σε μικρότερο βαθμό σε άλλες ευρωπαϊκές χώρες. Επίσης, διανέμει τις συλλογές των οίκων Juicy Couture και UGG Australia (Ελλάδα, Ρουμανία, Βουλγαρία), Gas Jeans, Patrizia Pepe, Joseph, Kitson L.A. και 40-Weft, Junk Food (στην Ελλάδα), Dockers (στην Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο), Helly-Hansen (στην Ελλάδα, την Κύπρο και τη Βουλγαρία), Redskins (στην Ελλάδα και τη Βουλγαρία), καθώς και τις παιδικές συλλογές των οίκων Gas, Levi's, Cacao, Papermoon, MonnaLisa, Patrizia Pepe, Mariella Burani, Alviero Martini, Ermanno Scervino και Richmond (στην Ελλάδα).

Επιπλέον, απο 1ης Ιανουαρίου 2010, η Elmec διανέμει στην Ελλάδα τις τσάντες και τα αξεσουάρ της Samsonite και των συνεργαζόμενων με αυτή οίκων (Timberland και Lacoste).

Λιανική διάθεση ενδυμάτων, υποδημάτων & αξεσουάρ

H Elmec Sport ξεκίνησε να επενδύει στον κλάδο αυτό στις αρχές της τρέχουσας δεκαετίας. Βασικός πυλώνας του κλάδου είναι η αλυσίδα καταστημάτων αποκλειστικής πώλησης ειδών Nike, η οποία σήμερα αριθμεί 67 σημεία πώλησης: 33 στην Ελλάδα, 26 στη Ρουμανία και 8 στη Βουλγαρία. Παράλληλα αναπτύσσεται δίκτυο σημείων αποκλειστικής πώλησης ειδών Converse, το οποίο σήμερα αριθμεί 10 σημεία πώλησης: 7 στην Ελλάδα και 2 στη Ρουμανία και 1 στη Βουλγαρία.

Στην αγορά της Ρουμανίας η Elmec Sport έχει δώσει βάρος στο δίκτυο λιανικής για ενδύματα μόδας (fashion brands) λειτουργώντας δύο (2) μεσαίου μεγέθους πολυθεματικές galleries (μικρά πολυκαταστήματα) και 21 πολυθεματικά και μονοθεματικά καταστήματα που διαθέτουν τις συλλογές των οίκων Calvin Klein Jeans, Hugo Boss Orange, Trussardi, Polo Ralph Lauren jeans, Miss Sixty, Energie, Pepe Jeans London, Killah, Replay, Gstar, Diesel, Custo, Napapijri, Patrizia Pepe, True Relegion, Trafic people, Camper, Havaianas, 55 DSL και Marlboro Classics. Παρόμοιο μοντέλο ανάπτυξης ακολουθείται στη Μολδαβία, από το Δεκέμβριο του 2008 η Elmec Sport λειτουργεί τρία μονοθεματικά καταστήματα.

Μονοθεματικά και πολυθεματικά καταστήματα με fashion brands λειτουργούν και στην Ελλάδα, και συγκεκριμένα 27, τα οποία διαθέτουν τις συλλογές των οίκων Harley-Davidson, Gas, Dockers, Helly-Hansen, Patrizia Pepe, Joseph, και MonnaLisa.

Από το β' τρίμηνο του 2008, ο Όμιλος αναπτύσσει στην Ελλάδα τη γνωστή αμερικανική αλυσίδα ειδών πολυτελείας και αξεσουάρ "Coach", η οποία σήμερα λειτουργεί 5 σημεία πώλησης.
Kατά το δ' τρίμηνο του 2008 εξαγόρασε και έκτοτε λειτουργεί τα καταστήματα της μητρικής εταιρείας Folli-Follie στη Ρουμανία, τέσσερα (4) τον αριθμό, τα οποία μέχρι τότε λειτουργούσαν με το σύστημα της δικαιόχρησης (franchise).

Απο τον Νοέμβριο του 2009 ξεκίνησε την ανάπτυξη δικτύου λιανικής με mono-brand stores για την Juicy Couture. Σήμερα λειτουργούν 4 σημεία πώλησης, τα 2 εντός των πολυκαταστημάτων "atiica" και τα άλλα δύο στο Κολωνάκι και την Κηφισιά.

Πολυκαταστήματα

Ο Όμιλος λειτουργεί:

- από το 2005 το "attica, the department store", το μεγαλύτερο πολυκατάστημα της ελληνικής αγοράς, που εκτείνεται σε 25 χιλ. τετραγωνικά μέτρα, σε οκτώ επίπεδα, στην οδό Πανεπιστημίου 9 στο κέντρο της Αθήνας,
- από το Νοέμβριο του 2008 το δεύτερο "attica" στους χώρους του νέου εμπορικού κέντρου "Golden Hall" στο Μαρούσι Αττικής, το οποίο έχει επιφάνεια 13 χιλ. τετραγωνικών μέτρων περίπου
- από το 1999 το "Factory Outlet", το πρώτο στην Ελλάδα εκπτωτικό πολυκατάστημα, στην οδό Πειραιώς 76 στο Ν. Φάληρο, το οποίο λειτουργεί σε ιδιόκτητο κτίριο με συνολική επιφάνεια περί τα 13 χιλ. τετραγωνικά μέτρα, και
- από το Δεκέμβριο του 2006 το ομώνυμο εκπτωτικό πολυκατάστημα στο εμπορικό πάρκο του Διεθνούς Αερολιμένα Αθηνών, με επιφάνεια επίσης περί τα 14 χιλ. τετραγωνικά μέτρα.

Όργανα γυμναστικής

Ο κλάδος αυτός ασχολείται με τον εξοπλισμό γυμναστηρίων, προπονητικών κέντρων κλπ. με τα κορυφαίας τεχνολογίας και παγκοσμίου φήμης όργανα γυμναστικής "TechnoGym"

Λοιποί κλάδοι

Στις υπόλοιπες δραστηριότητες του Ομίλου συγκαταλέγονται οι πωλήσεις μοτοσικλετών Harley-Davidson, Cagiva και Agusta, οι πωλήσεις συστημάτων παρακολούθησης χώρων και άλλες δραστηριότητες.

H Elmec Sport είναι κατά 95% θυγατρική της Καταστημάτα Αφορολογήτων Ειδών ΑΕ. η οποία με τη σειρά της ανήκει κατά 57% στην εταιρεία Folli-Follie ΑΒΕΕ.

Η Elmec Sport ABETE ιδρύθηκε το 1981 και είναι εισηγμένη στο Χρηματιστήριο Αθηνών από το 1991(ΕΛΜΕΚ). Η πλήρης επωνυμία της είναι "Elmec Sport Ανώνυμη Βιομηχανική Εμπορική και Τεχνική Εταιρεία".


Profile

Elmec Sport SA and its subsidiaries is one of the biggest Greek commercial groups in SouthEastern Europe with presence in Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova. Elmec Sport, consecutively integrated in the group of companies Folli-Follie.

The Group consists of five business segments. Each one deals with different products and/or categories of customers. These segments are the following:

Wholesale of apparel, footwear & accessories

This segment deals with the wholesale (distribution) of apparel, footwear and accessories. It was with this segment and specifically through the distribution of products by the sportswear firm Nike that the Company initiated its activities in the Greek market in 1981. At present, Elmec Sport is the exclusive distributor of apparel and footwear of Nike in Romania and Bulgaria, whereas it distributed these items for wholesale in Greece and Cyprus until 2006 as well. Furthermore, the Company is a licencee of Converse and holds the exclusive distribution rights of Converse apparel and footwear in the markets of Greece, Cyprus, Romania and Bulgaria.

As regards fashion brands, the Group designs and produces collections of apparel under the brand-name Harley-Davidson, which distributes mainly in Greece and to a lower extent in other European countries. Moreover, it distributes collections of the following brands: Juicy Couture and UGG Australia (Greece, Romania and Bulgaria), Gas Jeans, Patrizia Pepe, Joseph, UGG, Kitson L.A. and 40-Weft (in Greece) Dockers (in Greece and Cyprus), Helly-Hansen (in Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria), Redskins (in Greece and Bulgaria), as well as the children’s collections by Gas, Levi's, Cacao, Papermoon, MonnaLisa, Patrizia Pepe, Mariella Burani, Alviero Martini, Ermanno Scervino and Richmond (in Greece). Moreover, from the beggining of 2010, Elmec distributes in Greece the bags and accesories of Samsonite and the brands that cooperates (Timberland-Lacoste).

Retail stocking of apparel, footwear & accessories

The Group began investing in this segment in the early years of the current decade. Main pillar of the segment is the store chain selling exclusively Nike items, which comprised 67 selling points today : 33 in Greece, 26 in Romania and 8 in Bulgaria. Meanwhile a network of exclusive Converse is under development , which at present integrates 10 selling points: 7 in Greece, 2 in Romania and 1 in Bulgaria.

In the market of Romania the Group focuses on the retail network of fashion brands operating two (2) medium-sized multi-brand galleries (small department stores) and 21 multi-brand & mono-brand stores featuring collections by Calvin Klein Jeans, Trussardi, Polo Ralph Lauren Jeans, Miss Sixty, Energie, Hugo Boss orange, Pepe Jeans, Killah, Replay, Gstar, Diesel, Custo, Napapijri, Partizia Pepe, True religion, Traffic people, Havaianas, 55DSL, Camper and Marlboro Classics. A similar development model is being applied in Moldova, where the Group launched three (3) mono-brand stores in December 2008.
Mono-brand and multibrand fashion stores operate in Greece as well, specifically 27 which feature collections by Harley-Davidson, Gas, Dockers, Helly-Hansen, Patrizia Pepe, Joseph and MonnaLisa.

Since the second quarter of 2008 the Group has been developing the prominent American chain of luxury goods and accessories "Coach" in Greece, comprising today 5 selling points.
During the forth quarter of 2008 it acquired and has been operating since then the stores of the parent Company Folli-Follie in Romania, four (4) in numbers, which used to operate by the franchise system.

Since November of 2009, started the development of of mono brand retail stores of Juicy Couture. Today 2 (two) points of sale operate inside the attica department stores and another two exclusive stores in Kifisia and Kolonaki.

Department stores

The Group operates:

- since 2005 the "attica, the department store", the biggest department store in the Greek market, which extends over 25.000 m², in eight levels, in 9 Panepistimiou street of central Athens,
- since November 2008 the second "attica" in the premises of the new trade center "Golden Hall" at Maroussi, Attica, which has superficies of 13.000 m² approximately,
- since 1999 the "Factory Outlet", the first discount department store in Greece, in 76 Peiraios street in N.Faliro, which operates in a privately owned building of total superficies covering 13.000 m² approximately, and
- since December 2006 the homonymous discount department store in the commercial park of the International Athens Airport, also covering 14.000 m² approximately.

Gym equipment

This sector supplies gyms, training centres etc, in Greece, with the famous world brand of Gym equipment "TechnoGym".

Remaining sectors

The remaining activities of the Group include a variety of products. These are the sales of motorcycles and relevant accessories, spare parts and apparel of Harley-Davidson, Cagiva and Agusta, the sales of area-surveillance systems and other activities.

Elmec Sport is an affiliate of Hellenic Duty Free Shops SA (HDFS). HDFS curently holds 96% of Elmec's shares. Folli Follie holds almost 57% of shares of HDFS Elmec Sport S.A was founded in 1981. Its full name is "Elmec Sport S.A Industrial Commercial and Technical".

The Company is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1991.
