Last updated: 17/05/2001Ιστορικό Η Εταιρεία συστάθηκε στην Κύπρο το 1977 ως ιδιωτική Εταιρεία Περιορισμένης Ευθύνης με την επωνυμία Cyprian Seaways Bonded Warehouses Limited. Το 1989 μετατράπηκε σε Δημόσια σύμφωνα με τις πρόνοιες του περί Εταιρειών νόμου, αφού προηγουμένως εξαγόρασε την Cyprus Trading Corporation Limited που ιδρύθηκε το 1927 και πήρε το όνομα της. Οι δραστηριότητες περιλαμβάνουν την εισαγωγή, διανομή και εμπορία μεγάλου αριθμού καταναλωτικών αγαθών, κεφαλαιουχικών προϊόντων, αυτοκινήτων και βαρέων μηχανημάτων, ειδών υγιεινής, την παραγωγή βιομηχανικών προϊόντων, την παραγωγή γαλακτοκομικών προϊόντων και την παροχή υπηρεσιών. Οι δραστηριότητες του Συγκροτήματος επεκτείνονται και στο εξωτερικό σε μορφή τρι-μέρους εμπορίου, που είναι η αγορά προϊόντων από μια χώρα και η πώληση τους σε άλλη (εκτός από Κύπρο). Το τρίτο σημείο του τριγώνου είναι η Κύπρος που είναι η βάση της εταιρείας και ο αποδέκτης των κερδών (σε ξένο συνάλλαγμα). Σε Έκτακτη Γενική Συνέλευση που πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 15 Ιουνίου 2005 εγκρίθηκε ψήφισμα για μετονομασία της εταιρείας από «Cyprus Trading Corporation Ltd» σε «Cyprus Trading Corporation Public Limited». Cyprus Trading Corporation Limited was incorporated in Cyprus in1977 as a limited liability company under the name Cyprian Seaways Bonded Warehouses Limited. In 1989 it became Public in Accordance with the provisions of the Companies Law after acquiring Cyprus Trading Corporation Limited which was incorporated in 1927 and adopted its name. The activities of the group include the import, distribution and trading in a substantial number of consumer products, capital goods, cars and heavy machinery, sanitary ware, the production of industrial products, the production of dairy products and the provisions of services. The activities of the Group extend overseas with tripartite trade, which is the purchasing of products from one country and their direct selling to another country (other than Cyprus). The third point of the triangle is Cyprus which is the base of the company and where the profit (in foreign currency) is remitted.
