Board Member

Christofis Koufaris was born in Nicosia in 1954. He graduated from the London School of Economics in 1975 with a BSc (Econ) and later joined Arthur Andersen & Co in London. Upon his return to Cyprus, he joined Kardex Systems Ltd as Financial Manager from 1981 until 1993. During this period he also worked and served on the Boards of Directors of Nemitsas Group from 1984 until 1990 and G.B. Investments Ltd Group from 1985 until 1995. From 1994 until 2009 he served as Managing Director of Kardex Overseas Region, in charge of the MEA and Far East markets, with a special focus on business growth in the large emerging markets of China and India. He served as Chairman of the Cyprus International Businesses Association (CIBA) from 2002 until 2007, as member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Limassol from 2003 until 2008, as member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency from 2007 until 2011, as member of the Committee of Loan Commissioners from 2012 until 2013, as member of the Board of Directors of the Public Oversight Board from 2012 until 2014, as Chairman of the Limassol Cooperative Bank from 2014 until 2016 and member of the Board of Directors of Takis & Loukis Nemitsas Foundation from 2013 until 2020. Since 2009, he is the Managing Director of Euromanagement, which provides corporate and financial services. He is a member of the I.C.A.E.W and the ICPAC.
