Mr. Demetris Symeonides, MBA, PhD (Behavioral Management) founded the Northstar group of which he is Chairman and Managing Director, following a 25-year career in Greek and multinational banks in Greece and abroad. He served as Director of International Relations and Treasurer of the Makedonia-Thraki Bank of which he was also a founding member, Sec. Vice Chairman and General Manager for Northern Greece of Chase Manhattan Bank, NA, Vice General Manager Hellas of Credit Lyonnais, Manager of Retail Banking and Chairman of the European Strategic Committee of the Bank for the Retail Banking Sector and General Manager of Sigma Chrimatistiriaki AHEPEY.

Along with his banking career, Mr. Symeonides taught for a number of years at the Aristoteleion University of Salonica, in the School of Economics, Business Finance Sector and at Henley Management College (UK) and, in cooperation with large business consultancy firms, carried out studies on the organisation and restructuring of banks.
