Board Member

Mr. Matsis has studied economics at the London School of Economics (B.Sc) and the Queen Mary College (M.Sc). He has been a General Manager at the Planning Office and the Ministries of Agriculture, Defence, Health and Works and Transport. He has been a member in the Board of Directors of the House Financing Organization, the Industrial Training Authority, the Institution of Technology, the Cyprus Development Bank, the Institute of Genetics and Neurology, the Urban Planning Council and the Scholarship Committee. Mr. Matsis has also been a Chairman of the Institute of Research Promotion, the Agricultural Insurance Organization, the Medicine Council, the Nursing School and the Council for the Licensing of the Air Companies. He has an author’s experience in issues such as: the Economic and Social Planning, Fiscal Policy, Labour Force, Immigration, Educational Reform, Growth of the Cyprus Economy, National Health Plan etc. Mr. Matsis had been leading negotiations with the EU on agriculture, fishery, environment and health. He is currently a Business Consultant.
