Themistokleous Giorgos
Biography
He was born in Larnaca on the 8th of May 1934. After his graduation from the PanCyprian Lyceum of Larnaca, he worked at the British Base at Dhekelia. During the national liberal fight in 1955-1959, he was a political prisoner.
Shortly after the end of the fight, he went to the United Kingdom where he studied at Fogel Academy, Industrial Design and Cutting.
In 1963, he founded with his wife the company G&K Exclusive Fashions Ltd. As the main shareholder and Manager he transformed the small artisanship into one of the greatest industries in Cyprus with a total contribution in the clothing exports of 15.36%. As one of the main clothing industrialists, he was for a series of years the President of Clothing Exporters.
He was a football player at Pezoporikos, where he was also the Vice-president of the Club for many years. He is married with Nitsa Themistocleous and is the father of three children.
