Biography
Born in 1955 in England. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (1994); Chartered Global Management Accountant (2012); Securities Institute Certificate in Corporate Finance (2003).
Over 40+ year career he has served as Director on over 30 Boards in UK and Europe, including Chair and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) positions; majority in retail, SME and corporate financial services companies, also major property companies in the UK and Sweden.
Commenced career in 1973 assuming audit / accounting roles at US company Avery Label and UK government business Remploy.
From 1977 to 1995 served at Security Pacific Holdings, a UK finance group including UK authorised bank and seven other retail, SME and corporate finance businesses; appointed Group Chairman and CEO in 1991.
In 1996 joined London based Nomura International Principal Finance Group; responsibility for strategic and operational control of owned businesses.
Joined Credit Suisse First Boston Principal Transactions Group in London in 1998; Vice President responsible for strategy development / implementation and operational control of financial services and real estate businesses.
In 2002 moved to Dresdner Kleinwort Principal Finance Group in London, as Director leading major / complex transactions and strengthening its healthcare lending.
In 2004 joined Lehman Brothers European Structured Finance Group in London, as Director / Chief Risk Officer; risk responsibility for retail, SME and corporate financial services businesses and non performing loans (NPL) across Europe.
Appointed in 2008 Director Risk and Liabilities at AnaCap Financial Partners, a UK Private Equity firm focusing on European financial services businesses and NPL acquisition / servicing.
From 2010 to date founder, owner and CEO of London based Clipper Consulting, a risk advisory firm in financial services and NPLs; clients comprising banks and Private Equity houses in Europe and USA.
Appointed Member of the Board of Directors of Hellenic Bank on 19 February 2016. Chairman of the Risk Management Committee of the Bank’s Board of Directors and Member of the Remuneration Committee of the Bank’s Board of Directors.
