New outstanding achievement by PwC trainees in the recent ACCA examinations

Alena Kunilava and Vita Slefendoraite, trainee accountants of PwC Cyprus, achieved significant distinctions in the recent ACCA examinations.

Alena achieved first place in Cyprus in the Financial Management paper. This is the second time that Alena achieves a distinction in the ACCA examinations following her achievement in June 2010, when she obtained first place in the Audit and Assurance paper.

Alena comes from Belarus and joined PwC as a trainee accountant, in September 2009. She works for Assurance and she is based in Nicosia. She holds a BA degree in Business Administration.

Respectively, Vita Slefendoraite achieved first place in Cyprus in the Corporate Reporting paper.

Vita comes from Lithuania and joined PwC in September 2008. She works for the Global Compliance Services and she is based in Nicosia. She holds a BSc degree in Economics.

Mr Phidias Pilides, Chief Executive Officer of PwC congratulated Alena and Vita for their outstanding achievement and awarded them with a recognition plaque during a simple ceremony that was organised to honour their achievements.

During the ceremony, Mr Pilides praised their performance and noted that “the continuous achievements of our members reflect the organisational values of offering high quality services. We are very proud of our people and we will strongly continue to support their development. Through sharing knowledge and experiences as well as by providing continuous training, we ensure that our people and clients receive the support they need to create the value they are looking for”.
