Dishonoured cheques issued November reach €66.121

A total of 36 dishonored cheques, with a total value of €66,121 were issued in November 2022 and a total of 24 persons (11 legal and 13 physical) were placed in the preliminary list of CIR (Central Information Register) for dishonored cheques, according to figures released Monday by the Central Bank.

The value of checks registered during the 11-month period of 2022 has increased by €759,581, compared to the corresponding period last year.

In the previous two months, October and September 2022, checks totaling €47,010 and €260,353 were registered, while checks worth €97,696 were registered last November.

In the period January - November 2022, a total of 440 checks, with a total value of €1,453,020, were placed in the CIR , compared to checks worth €693,439 in the corresponding period of 2021.

During the same period, 282 persons have been placed in the preliminary CIR (160 legal, 122 natural) while 231 persons were placed in CIR (84 legal, 98 natural controlling legal entities).

For the whole of 2021 179 persons were placed in CIR and 186 for 2020.

CBC data show that the number of persons registered in the CIR in November 2022 reached 22, of which 8 are legal persons, 6 natural persons and 8 natural persons who control legal entities.
